Biography
Doomherre was forged in Stockholm by three veterans of the Swedish underground — reunited after nearly two decades to make slow, heavy music entirely on their own terms.
Armed with heavy riffs and deep respect for legends like Trouble, Candlemass, and The Obsessed, Doomherre carries the torch of classic doom into new territory. Their sound is rooted in tradition but the band is not standing still. From recording to release, every decision is made in-house on their own label, Skatbo Records.
Daniel Strachal spent the early '90s running The Ruptured Zine — interviewing Darkthrone, Immolation, Repulsion, At the Gates, Dismember and many more, deep in the tape-trading network that held the global underground together before the internet existed. Max Collin and Daniel played together through Lobotomy and Blindfold across the '90s before stepping away from music for nearly two decades. Victor Takala brings his own Stockholm pedigree, including session work with Katatonia. The pandemic brought all three back together.
