On Saturday 5 December we’re playing a charity night at Kollektivet Livet in Stockholm. It’s called Doomhjälpen, and the point is simple: get a room full of people together for loud music and raise money for Musikhjälpen, the big annual charity campaign run by Swedish public service radio and television.
It’s an independent thing. We’re not part of Musikhjälpen, we just want the money to end up there. Max, Toni (Hexjakt) and Anna (Doom Girls) put it together, and it grew from there.
Who’s playing
Ordos, Kaiser, Doomherre, Hexjakt and Domkraft on the main stage. Doom Girls will do a dance show made for the night. Domkraft is also celebrating the release of their new album, so it’s a good night to be there either way.
Nobody gets paid. The bands play for free, Kollektivet Livet lends us the venue, and Backline Sthlm lends us the gear. That’s how as much as possible of the ticket money can go to the cause.
The money
Tickets are 150, 250 or 400 SEK. Pick whichever you can manage, it all goes to the same place. After VAT, fees and the hotel costs for two of the bands who are travelling in, the ticket revenue goes to Musikhjälpen.
The goal for the whole thing is 60,000 SEK (about €5,500). If you can’t make it, you can also donate directly on our fundraising page. And the night will be livestreamed on YouTube for anyone who can’t be there.

The scene is small and tight-knit, and when something needs doing, people show up. That’s pretty much the whole story. Hope to see you there.
